My passion as a newborn artist is in allowing baby-guided movements to present themselves authentically in order to allow the natural progression of “womb-like” characteristics to document the new life.
Join me in 2018 as we travel on a journey into capturing newborns and mothers using a soft palette of whites to express simplicity. When an all-white set up is used in photography, it communicates a mood of joy and happiness and maintains the focus on your subject. Once we isolate our tiny subject, we can see how their true personalities are very much present and an authenticity is documented. All expectations and perfectionism are eliminated when the sole purpose of photographing a newborn becomes the focus in capturing them as they were meant to be, pure and untouched.
This ONE-DAY class begins with an introduction in to an authentic documentation of new life and how we can express womb-like characteristics. If you're ready to take your photography deeper in to truly connecting with the baby and allowing a natural progression of authentic movements in a baby-led session, then this is the class for you. Learn how to train your eyes and mind to the needs of the baby, allowing them to move freely on their own with little guidance so they may express themselves authentically. You will learn wrapping techniques, including bum wrapping, which is a natural transitional flow using a variety of fabrics. We will give priority to baby safety guidelines and learn natural lighting, placement, angles and compositional shooting.
We will be shooting with a palette of all whites and small intimate details of color, while learning how simple accessories in soft staging the set can transform any space. Sometimes shooting all white can be very challenging. Learn how to reduce color casts, set your white balance and exposure and create creamy, stunning, timeless portraits that will never be outdated.
*Once your Registration Deposit is received, you will receive Workshop Paperwork with complete details and location. Make sure to fill out the Registration form and return to me within 3 days to hold your seat in the workshop!
